HOW WE GOT HERE
We started Synthstream in 2024 out of pure frustration. Half the team ran Twitch channels. The other half produced electronic music after hours. Every week some streamer on our side got a Spotify track muted by copyright bots mid-broadcast. The producers were busy complaining about AI music tools that only knew how to write generic lofi.
So we sat down and asked a dumb question: what if the background music for streamers was generative, DMCA-safe, and actually sounded like something you would put on for yourself?
Two years later, Synthstream runs the background music for thousands of Twitch channels. It also runs in the headphones of a surprising number of electronic music producers who use Studio Mode to sketch ideas.

Half engineers, half producers. HQ in Brooklyn, with studios in Berlin and Los Angeles. Founders include former engineers from Ableton and Native Instruments, plus producers who have released on Ninja Tune and R&S Records.
